About Knownstep Stories
Knownstep Stories retells classic books as illustrated picture stories you can read and listen to, page by page.
Each book is condensed: the story is told in short captions under pictures, so it is a way into a classic, not a replacement for the original. We encourage reading the full book too; all of these originals are free.
How the books are made
The retellings are written with the help of AI and checked against the original. The pictures are generated by AI, drawn from character and setting designs made for each book, and the narration is a synthetic voice. Mistakes happen; if you spot one, tell us at info@knownstep.com.
